Today me and Marcus Shirley were testing new self-made (by Marcus) glasses, which are specially developed for Stereoscopic filming. Not sure why, but for a first test run we have choosen a bike ride.
Stereoscopic mount was developed by me earlier and was used in filming shorfilm "The Phone" which can be found in gallery.
And finally whole thing together - Cameras, Glasses, Backpack which has all electronics for stereo monitoring) and the stereographer (me).
The good thing is that wasn't a driver, only a stereographer. Marcus was driving while I was sitting in the back and "enjoing" our ride in 3D. It's looks crazy and it was. The picture in the glasses is much different from real life.
Speed - faster
Angle - narrower
Head movement -off
Few things I was scared about during the ride. If the cameras would fall off, my brain would probably recognize it as a crash, so didn't know how would I behave in this situacion. I was affraid that I will jump from off.
And the second, if there would be real crash, would I want to see it in 3D?
Heres some screenshots from test footage, that's what I've seen during our journey
